Madsen English
Libby O'Linger

Students must have taken the first two trimesters of Madsen English in order to enroll in this class. No new students will be accepted at this time.

Class fee $0.

Madsen English will teach the formation of all letters, then apply them by using them in spelling words and writing sentences. This method uses all four neurological pathways of learning at the same time (speaking, hearing, doing, and seeing) for an exceptionally high retention rate! Using all pathways means that any learning style can learn using this method.

To learn the formation of letters, we learn checkpoints on the paper and "say and draw" so that instead of only using the visually-based "copy method" we have knowledge-based information in our brains. This eliminates the problems with dislexia, disgraphia, and other learning disabilities.  In fact, the research is showing that we are unknowingly building learning disabilities into our children by relying solely on visual memory methods. We will learn six or seven phonograms (letter sounds) at a time and immediately apply those by learning words with them, then soon learning sentence structure and using our new words to form sentences.

If an older child wants to join the class, he will be welcome.
