In this spectacularly exciting class, students will not only learn how to write a research paper, they will actually write a five- to ten-page paper. Because we will be focusing on gathering and organizing information and then completing the paper, we will not have time to get into the how-tos of writing. Therefore, I ask that students who enroll in this dynamic and engaging class have a basic mastery of the writing process. I specified that this class is for high-school students, but if you have an 8th grader who is a strong writer and who you think is ready to write a research paper, I am fine with that.

This class will last two trimesters. Please come to class on January 14th with your topic already decided upon.
