What:
During Silverwood’s 14th Annual Science
Day, they turn their theme park into one of the world’s most unique
classrooms. They’ve created an event where students can test the principles
of physics and science for themselves using rides, games, and other
attractions. Students will participate in educational competitions like the
Amazing Egg Drop, watch science-themed Discovery Channel movies, learn about
the Aquifer at the DEQ Educational booth or at the new KSPS Public
Television booth, and a whole lot more. Each participating class receives a
curriculum to use that includes instructions for contests and an engineering
and construction skills test. All rides and attractions are open and running
on Science Day, but Boulder Beach will be closed.
School Meals:
The School Value Meal is $6.03 per
person, kids and teachers/parents can receive a hamburger or hot dog meal
that includes condiments, potato chips, cookie, and a beverage. The Super
Value Meal is $8.47 and includes all of the following: a single
serving grilled chicken quarter, hot dog, home style potato salad, creamy
macaroni salad, tossed green salad with assorted dressings, Vicki's Famous
chili, ice cream sandwich, and assorted Pepsi beverages.
