Students must purchase the textbook Streams of Civilization, Volume Two.

Students will read through the world history book Streams of Civilization, Volume Two. For grades 9-12, this is comprehensive text covers world history from 1400 to the 21st Century. It is enjoyable reading, full of pictures, and highly Christian in content. Reading will be required to be done at home.

In addition, for each chapter students will be required to choose an additional project to complete at home, such as reading a historical fiction book, researching an historical event and writing an essay or report, working on a timeline book or chart, making maps, learning a craft that was done during the time period, illustrating an historical event (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.), listening to music and studying the art of the time period.

Students will also be required to define a list of Words and Concepts at the beginning of each chapter (definitions are found within the text of the chapter) at home.

If preferred by parents for their records, a test will be generated to be taken at home and then graded by the teacher.
