Class fee $8 for pocket book materials and supplies.

Using Literature Pockets, Tall Tales, each class will begin with a retelling of a tale. Comprehension, art, and writing activities follow, helping the story come to life for students. A final pocket challenges students to write their own original tall tale, utilizing the story elements they have observed in the tall tales presented. The eight stories in this book include: Pecos Bill, Slue-Foot Sue, Paul Bunyan, Babe the Blue Ox, John Henry, Davy Crockett, Alfred Bullfrog, Stormalong, and Mose the Firefighter.
